About Me: A Passionate Kindergarten Teacher and Travel Enthusiast
Hello, and welcome to my kindergarten blog! My name is Nicole, and I am thrilled to share my passion for teaching with you. With over 15 years of experience in the classroom, I have dedicated my career to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for my students.

My journey in education took an exciting turn when I completed my kindergarten specialist diploma. This experience ignited my interest in the environment as the “third teacher,” prompting me to be intentional about how I set up my classroom. I strive to create a space that not only fosters learning but also inspires curiosity and creativity in my young learners and further encourages students to feel as if they have ownership over their classroom space!

As a busy mom of two teenagers/pre-teens and a competitive swim mom, I understand the importance of efficiency and effectiveness in teaching. I became deeply interested in finding ways to quickly and easily set up my classroom with engaging, hands-on, play-based materials, all while balancing my family commitments.

One of my key focuses in the classroom is on structures and routines that are easily remembered by my students. By establishing clear and consistent routines, I aim to create a classroom environment where learning can flourish with minimal disruptions. This is why I release all my games across multiple themes, making it really easy to swap out a new version with minimal instructional time.

My passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom. As a certified yoga teacher with a 500 RYT certification, I enjoy incorporating mindfulness and movement into my teaching practice. I am currently working toward my barre certification, further expanding my knowledge and skills in movement-based practices.

In my spare time, my family and I love to travel. We have converted a sprinter van into a little motorhome, which we use to travel all summer long. This love for travel has broadened my perspective and enriched my teaching practice, allowing me to bring diverse experiences and perspectives into the classroom.

Thank you for joining me on this journey as I continue to grow and learn alongside my students. I look forward to sharing more insights, ideas, and resources with you as we navigate the world of kindergarten together.
